1. How does the program work?
The Entertainment Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring customers to our Web site. You do this by placing links on your site (or in email solicitations to a subscribership). Every time you refer a customer to us and that customer makes a purchase, you earn a commission (or referral fee). Each month that you have earned more than $25, we send you a check for a portion of the sales you referred to our site. It's easy and profitable!

3. How do I sign up?
- Read the Entertainment.com Affiliate Program Operating Agreement.
- Submit the online Affiliate Application. Your application will be reviewed within 24 hours. Once you're approved, we will send you an E-Mail containing detailed information on how to get started.
- Get Paid! Upon approval you will automatically begin to earn referral fees for sales generated by the links on your site.
4. I operate more than one Web site. Can I still be an Affiliate?
Yes. You can have multiple sites as an Affiliate. You can have one Affiliate account with us that will include all of your sites. And now, through the Partner Gateway, you can set up additional sites under your original account yourself! You can run reports that will track the progress of each of your sites separately and be paid with only one commission check. ..top
Joining the Affiliate Program
1. How much does it cost to join?
The Affiliate Program is totally FREE. When your site generates enough sales, you make the money!
2. Is my Web site eligible to become an Entertainment.com Affiliate?
Most sites will qualify to participate in the Affiliate Program. Anyone may submit an application, but we do reserve the right to refuse membership to a site or revoke a site's membership at any time if we deem that it contains objectionable material or is practicing unlawful activity. Objectionable material includes:
- Sexually explicit material
- The promotion of violence
- Discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, physical disability, age or sexual orientation
- The promotion of illegal activity
3. Can a web site outside the United States be an Affiliate?
Yes. We welcome Affiliates from anywhere in the world; however, customers that buy from our site must pay in U.S. dollars. All referral fee payment checks to Affiliates are in U.S. dollars.
4. I have a web site but it's under construction. Can I apply to be an Affiliate anyway?
Your site must be live upon applying to the Affiliate Program. We cannot approve your membership if your site is "Under Construction." Please wait to submit an application until your Web site is complete. ..top
Payment Information & Order Tracking
1. How are orders tracked coming from my site?
All links from an affiliates Web site to Entertainment.com contain a unique ID that is attributed to your site. As a result, whenever a user comes to us from your site, we know to credit your affiliate account when a purchase is made. It is important that the links on your site are created using the Tag Generator tool on entertainment.reporting.net (Partner Gateway) so that they are tracked properly.
However, there are instances in which order tracking does not occur. For example, if the user visits our site and browses but doesn't buy, then returns to our site two days later and types "http://www.entertainment.com," we won't be able to connect that user with your site and as a result you will not get credit for that purchase.
2. How much will I be paid?
Referral fees are based on the total sales you generate per month. Standard referral fees are $4 for every qualified Entertainment® book purchase that you send us, and can be as much as $7 for every qualified Entertainment® book purchase that you send us.
3. How do I know how many referral fees I've earned?
Through entertainment.reporting.net, you have 24 hour access to various reports, which are updated daily, that provide information on impressions, how many people "clicked through" your link to Entertainment.com, the amount and type of orders, shipments, and fees earned.
4. When will I be paid?
You will be paid monthly. If your total for referrals for any month is less than $25, the total amount will be carried to the next month. Once it passes $25, a check will be sent to you at the end of the month for the complete amount owed to you up until the end of that month.
5. Do I earn referral fees on my own purchases?
Absolutely! When you buy products from us through your Web site, you earn the same referral fee on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase. Remember, when you set up your links, please also include one of our affiliate logos on your site.
6. What about product returns?
If the customer returns an Entertainment product that generated a referral fee, then we will deduct the corresponding fee from your next monthly payment. If there is no subsequent payment, we reserve the right to send you a bill for the fee at the end of the following month. ..top
Setting Up Links
1. How do I create links to Entertainment.com?
Creating links is easy! Just log in to entertainment.reporting.net and use the automatic Tag Generator to create links in seconds! The Tag generator creates HTML that you can cut and paste into your web document. We offer many different ways of linking to Entertainment.com, allowing you to maintain your site's look and feel while making it easy for your visitors to link to us.
2. Where should I place the links on my site?
You should place links where they are easy for your site visitors to find, such as your homepage. Some areas you may want to place your links include your home page, your navigation bar, and any other high traffic areas. If you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site, your visitors will be more likely to make a purchase.
3. What are my responsibilities as an Entertainment.com Affiliate?
You can set up as many links as you like to Entertainment.com, in a way that works best for your site. You are responsible for using the Tag Generator (see above) to create links, and for placing the links on your site. It's totally up to you how many or how few links you include. Then you sit back and we'll do the rest!
4. What is Entertainment.com's responsibility?
Entertainment.com will provide you with the tools and support you need to maximize sales through your site. Entertainment.reporting.net is your online resource center for links, graphics, merchandising tips and more. We also handle orders, shipping, billing, customer service and the referral payments for all customers your refer to us.
5. Can I change and update my links whenever I want?
Yes! Use entertainment.reporting.net to get new graphics, banners and links. You may change and update the links on your site at any time. We will be adding new ideas and products so you should create new links that fit the interests of your visitors.
6. Can I use the Entertainment name and logo on my site?
Yes. Users want to know they are purchasing from a reputable company. But please do not alter our logo in any way and adhere to the guidelines in the Affiliate Operating Agreement. You may download logos at entertainment.reporting.net.
7. Will you offer advice for my site?
Absolutely! See the Selling Tips section for tips and recommendations on linking to Entertainment.com and maintaining your affiliation with us.
8. Can I link to a Search?
Eventually we will offer our Affiliates the option of putting a Search Box on their site. What this will do is allow visitors to directly access Entertainment Books in their choice of city. We are planning this function for future use and will notify our Affiliates via our Affiliate newsletter when this is available. ..top
